Back in 2015 I finally got round to scratching an itch I’ve had for a long time and made some logic gates from transistors. It led me to learn about full adders, I actually set up a half adder on a breadboard using just transistors but the idea of making a full adder using just transistors seemed a bit tedious so I went ahead and ordered some logic gate ICs.
With the breadboard prototype functioning, I’m now soldering a more permanent version onto some protoboard.
A few other projects I’ve picked up include a Joule Thief and 555N based timer circuits. I started with a mono-stable 555 timer project kit, but decided to design my own a-stable version with sockets for components, so it can be configured for different uses.
